1Find the most likely bats
We start from the home-run chance the market is pricing in (de-vigged where both sides are posted) — the sharpest read available on who's actually likely to go deep tonight.
2Read the matchup
For each bat we look at the ballpark, the platoon edge vs the starter's hand, underlying contact quality, recent power, and how the batter does against the exact pitches that starter throws — the story behind the swing.
3Rank and cap the board
Batters are ranked by their home-run chance and capped at 5 per day, max 3 per team, so a single hitter-friendly slate can’t flood the board. On a thin or pitcher-heavy day the board can be short — or empty.
